The waste toner bottle
isn’t properly installed.
Make sure the waste toner bottle
sits loosely in its compartment and
that the top of the bottle is not
wedged under the top of the com-
partment.
The Online
indicator is
on and the
message in
the display is
IDLE,” but
no startup
page prints.
You did not wait long
enough.
Did you wait long enough? From a
cold start, the printer takes approxi-
mately 3 minutes to warm up.
Be sure you wait long enough for a
startup page before suspecting a
problem.
Print startup is not
enabled.
Make sure the option to print a star-
tup page is enabled in Administra-
tion/Startup Options/Do
Startup Page.
The defaults have been
changed.
Perform a restore defaults on the
printer. From your control panel,
select Administration/
Miscellaneous/Restore Defaults/
Factory Defaults/Yes.
Error mes-
sage is dis-
played.
A unit or tray is not cor-
rectly installed.
Handle the message according to
the message display.
The media is jammed.
A problem occurred inside
the printer.
Print is

New toner cartridge(s)

but the “break-in” period

sure the new toner cartridges have
settled properly.

not correctly installed.
Check the toner cartridge
installation.
Colors aren’t
registering
properly.
The OPC belt cartridge is
not pushed all the way in.
Repeat the steps in “Installing the
OPC Belt Cartridge” on page 15.
